Dana Charter is a Realtor with John L. Scott in Sammamish, Washington. Born in California, he quickly learned the military move lifestyle as both his father and step-father were in the Air Force, moving every few years. After graduating from high school in Minot, North Dakota, Dana enlisted in the Marine Corps where he worked on Aviation Electronics for the EA-6B Prowler. It was during his schooling for the EA-6B that he first experienced the beauty of Washington State while stationed at NAS Whidbey Island. After being transferred to Cherry Point, North Carolina, Dana was deployed to Japan numerous times, Italy, and finally was deployed to the USS Kearsarge with the 26th MEU where he went to Oman, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Greece, and Spain. During his time on the east coast, Dana also was transferred to Maryland where he managed the supply logistics of the aging EA-6B. His people skills were put to good use during his work as a recruiter and MEPS Liaison in Buffalo, NY.
Dana retired from the Marine Corps after 20 years of services and has since dedicated himself to becoming a Realtor, first earning his Military Relocation Professional from the National Association of Realtors, and then his Certified Seller Marketing Specialist and Certified Buyer Representative from John L. Scott. While covering the Seattle area, Dana still has the drive to serve and help his brothers and sisters in arms, helping them find homes from NAS Whidbey Island to Joint Base Lewis-McChord. His unique experience of being both a military member and a military dependent gives him a unique understanding of the stressors and situations involved in the move that cannot be taught, only experienced. As a hyperlocal expert, he ensures that he is giving sound advice tailored to each individual client with every transaction. His dedication of service to his country has transformed and focused into a dedication to his clients.
